CATIONIC COMPOSITION AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME

A composition comprising a cationically-polymerizable compound, an iodonium-based cationic initiator, a sensitizer for said cationic initiator and an antioxidant selected from the group consisting of phenol antioxidants, phosphite antioxidants, lactone antioxidants, and combinations thereof, wherein the antioxidant is present in an amount of between 0.01 wt% and 10 wt%, relative to the total weight of the composition. The addition of this antioxidant to this composition contributes to the reduction of potential runaway reaction when it is exposed in-bulk to actinic radiation.
