<p>A temperature sensor (7) for the fluid is arranged in and/or on the casing (2). The base (3) of the casing contains electronics (8) evaluating signals from the transmitter (5), receiver (6) and temperature sensor (7). The casing also has projections (4, 4') holding the transmitter and receiver. The temperature sensor is arranged in and/or on the base. The base section is cylindrical, with transmitter and receiver in separate projections forming bulge(s). The optical measurement path lies between the projections. The temperature sensor is in a further projection (9) of the casing. The projections are bumps on the upper area of the cylinder. The projection for the temperature sensor lies between those for the transmitter and receiver. Its height is less than that of the others, leaving the optical beam between transmitter and receiver unobstructed. A circuit card (12) in the base, is held by fingers (13, 13') in the projections (4, 4 and/or 9). The transmitter, receiver and sensor are fastened to the fingers, together with the electronics on the circuit card. Connection terminals on the side of the card opposite the fingers, allow for plug-in connection to the sensor unit, at the base. The transmitter is an optical diode, with a phototransistor as the receiver. The temperature sensor is an NTC (negative temperature coefficient) resistor. The plastic casing, which is separately claimed, has transparent zones for the optical beam between transmitter and receiver.</p> |
