<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the feeling of luster of hair without using any special stroboscope equipment. <P>SOLUTION: With this image processing method, the region of hair is automatically extracted from a digital image(input image) obtained by photographing the face of a person; and the region of the top of the head is extracted to which image processing is operated based on the shape of the extracted region of hair; and a blur image is extracted from the image of the region of the top of the head in order to make satisfactory its connection with a non-image processing part; and image processing is operated for increasing illuminating effects to hair to the input image by using the information of the generated blur image.
