PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute processing by a remote operation after a mode is switched to a lock mode. SOLUTION: This portable telephone set is provided with an operation key for accepting the input of an operation by a user and a control part for executing processing corresponding to the accepted operation, wherein the control part includes a mode switching means (S02) for switching a mode to a lock mode according to a remote operation; an inhibition means for inhibiting the execution of the first processing when the input of an operation for the operation key to execute predetermined first processing is accepted in the lock mode; an automatic response means (S05) for making a response to an incoming call from a predetermined telephone number in the lock mode; and a second processing execution means (S6) for executing second processing in response to the reception of the instruction for the operation key to execute predetermined second processing from a telephone set which has made a response.
