PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic picture vending machine capable of printing a colorful image of special colors through two printing processes. SOLUTION: A background image is masked with a photographic image of an object, and further masked with edited images of stamp images 62 and 63 and a scribble image 64. However, masking is prohibited on a metal color area of the stamp image 63. First, the masked background image P41 is printed by a melting type thermal transfer printer head by using a metal color ink ribbon. Next, the masked background image P13, the photographic image P14 of an object, the stamp images 62 and 63 and the scribble image 64 are combined, and the composite image is printed by a sublimatic thermal transfer printer by using an ordinary color ribbon. Since the colored transparent background image is printed on the background image of the metallic color, the colorful metallic color can be expressed.
