PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an updating system of map information capable of producing map information after updating while maintaining a connection relation of an element even when the element moves across the boundary in the map information after updating between map information before updating and the map information for updating. SOLUTION: The updating system of map information is provided with a duplicate element detection means for detecting nodes N412, N415, N416, n512, n515 and n516 which are duplicate elements of map information 500 before updating and map information 400 for updating, and an information after updating synthesizing means for synthesizing map information 600 after updating from the map information 500 before updating and the map information 400 for updating on the basis of the nodes N412, N415, N416, n512, n515 and n516 which are detected by the duplicate element detection means.
