PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device which prevents abnormalities of point defects due to air bubbles therein. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal device has a liquid crystal 50 enclosed between two substrates 11 and 21, The element substrate 11 has a seal part 12 for enclosing the liquid crystal 50 provided on an outer peripheral part of a surface thereof like a frame.
