PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for cooling gas hydrate pellets designed to efficiently cool the gas hydrate pellets. SOLUTION: The apparatus for cooling the gas hydrate pellets is composed of a vertical type cylindrical container 50, a plurality of multistage trays 52 dividing the interior of the cylindrical container 50 and installed in the height direction, a rotating shaft 53 installed passing through the center of each tray 52, rotating blades 55 fixed to the rotating shaft 53 and radially provided on the top surface of each tray 52, a gas hydrate pellet feeding port 51 installed in the upper part of the cylindrical container 50, a gas hydrate pellet discharging port 56 provided at the bottom of the cylindrical container 50 and a cooling gas circulating blower 59 for cooling the cooling gas with a cooler 58 and circulating the cooling gas through the interior of the cylindrical container 50. A plurality of small holes and slots are formed in each tray 52 and the positions of the slots of the tray 52 are provided successively at a shifted angle on the side opposite to the rotative direction of the rotating blades 55 toward the lower tray.
