PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition exhibiting an excellent balance between rolling resistance properties and wet performances without detriment to abrasion resistance by enhancing reinforcing properties while improving processability, by making dispersibility of silica excellent. SOLUTION: The rubber composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of a diene rubber and 10-120 pts.wt. of silica, where the rubber composition contains a reactive vinyl polymer obtained by polymerizing a vinyl monomer using a polysulfide compound as a polymerization initiator and the polysulfide compound preferably comprises at least one selected from the group of thiuram polysulfide compounds.
