PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a useful azomethine coloring matter in high yield in a mild convenient condition. SOLUTION: The method for producing the azomethine compound A involves reacting a coupler skeletonβbecoming a coloring matter raw material with a p-nitroso-N-substituted compound C by a microwave heating method.
