PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an announcing device for earthquake control of an elevator for announcing warning against the earthquake again by pressing an intercom button after an earthquake sensor operates and the warning against the earthquake is announced once. SOLUTION: The announcing device 1 installed in the elevator to announce the warning against the earthquake to attract attention of passengers in a car of the elevator has a circuit for announcing the warning against the earthquake again by pressing the intercom button provided on an operation panel in the elevator car even after announcing the warning once and announcing no warning unless the intercom button is pressed for five seconds or longer. An elevator user can reconfirm thereby the situation at the time of occurrence of the earthquake because he/she can listen to the warning repeatedly to eliminate the need for speaking over the telephone to the control center and making contact with a technician in charge.
