PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of effectively suppressing partial wear of shoulder parts of a tread also with respect to lateral force from a road surface. SOLUTION: In this pneumatic tire, a plurality of grooves 1, 2 including main grooves 1 extending in a tire circumferential direction R are cut on the tread T, and blocks 3 are formed in the shoulder parts of the tread T by the grooves 1, 2. First sipes 11 extending to the tire circumferential direction R are cut on a nodal line L between the surface of the tread T and the surfaces of side parts S, and second sipes 12 extending in the tire circumferential direction R are cut outwards in the tire width direction from the first sipes 11. The depth directions of the first and second sipes 11, 12 are parallel with a tire equator face C. The depth of the first sipes 11 is set deeper than that of the second sipes 12, and the width of the second sipes 12 is set wider than that of the first sipes 11. A step between the surface of a wear region 13 sandwiched by the first sipe 11 and the second sipe 12 and the surface of the side part S is set below 2.0 mm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
