PAPERBOARD FOR DISPOSABLE CLEANING TOOL, WHICH HAS EXCELLENT DISAGGREGATION IN WATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide paperboard with excellent disaggregation in water, keeping high strength in use, however losing the strength in water, thus exhibiting such disaggregation as to be disintegrated into fibrous form by the action of a given water current. SOLUTION: The paperboard is a multilayered paperboard of at least two layers, containing a surfactant for enhancing infiltration of water thereinto. The paperboard is made so as to be 25-130 g/m2in basis weight per layer and 0.25-0.70 MPa in interlaminar strength. The paperboard keeps its own high strength in use, however quickly loses the strength in water as its water infiltrativeness is considerably improved in water, being readily disintegrated by the action of a given water current. Therefore, while being easy to wipe off dirts, the paperboard has slight possibility of causing troubles such as pipes clogged with paperboard discarded in discharging water current after use, thus being convenient in handling and easy in aftertreatment as well.
