PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an acrylonitrile-based fiber bundle, by which excess chemical can be effectively squeezed without accompanying scatter of the chemical from a precursor fiber bundle impregnated with the chemical to reduce adhesion between monofilaments in a production process of the acrylonitrile-based precursor fiber bundle for a carbon fiber. SOLUTION: The method for producing the acrylonitrile-based fiber bundle involves subjecting the fiber bundle before drying to fluid treatment by regulating the jetting angleθrelative to the traveling direction of the fiber bundle so as to be 45-90°to open the fiber bundle when obtaining the acrylonitrile-based fiber bundle by passing the chemical-impregnated fiber bundle immersed in a chemical vessel, through nip rollers, drying and drawing the resultant fiber bundle.
