PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gravure printing method which manufactures a printed material having a woodgrain style near natural wood with the manifestation of cell grains, moire, rosettes or the like suppressed in at least two double-coated layers, and a woodgrain-styled molded piece, and keeps a printing layer obtainable by hydraulically transferring a printed material obtained by the gravure printing method. SOLUTION: In the gravure printing method by which a printing layer having two or more patterned layers are formed on one side of a base material, at least one patterned layer in the printing layer is formed by the use of a copying plate of woodgrain style with indeterminately shaped cells. The woodgrain-styled molded piece is formed by transferring the printing layer to the surface to be transferred of a body to be transferred by a hydraulically transferring method by employing the printed material for hydraulic transferring, the base material obtained by this printing method is composed of a water-soluble or water-swelling film.
