PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope allowing radio frequency communication in a stable receiving state at any time for accurate diagnosis. SOLUTION: A hollow sphere 26 is rotatably mounted on a rear end upper surface 16c of an operation part 16 of the electronic endoscope 10 through a receiving ball 31. A parabolic antenna 32 is contained in the hollow sphere 26. Electric wave 14 radiated from a first radiator 34 of the parabolic antenna 32 is reflected on a paraboloid 33a of a reflector 33, and outputted in a direction in parallel with an axis of symmetry of the paraboloid 33a. A weight 38 is attached to a lower end of the hollow sphere 26. The receiving ball 31 rotates the hollow sphere 26 so that the paraboloid 33a could be upward in a vertical direction by the own weight of the weight 38 at any time when the electronic endoscope 10 is operated and horizontally slanted. The electric wave 14 is upwardly radiated in the vertical direction, that is to say, in a direction of a receiving antenna 13 at any time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
