<p>The present invention relates to a navigation system and method using a two- pass method which generates an approximate multi-route with respect to a starting point and a destination by using road information and grid information associated with the starting point and the destination, and provides optimal navigation information using the approximate multi-route according to a predetermined route selection standard. A navigation system using a two-pass method, the navigation system including: a location input unit receiving a starting point and a destination; an information extraction unit extracting road information and grid information associated with the starting point and the destination from a predetermined navigation database; a route generation unit generating at least one multi-route based on the road information and the grid information; and a navigation information generation unit generating navigation information using the at least one multi-route according to a predetermined route selection standard.</p> |
