In a tyre cord fabric of parallel cords, each cord is made of three yarns and each yarn is formed of synthetic continuous polymeric filaments totalling at least 6,000 denier. The cord twist per inch being less than the yarn twist per inch. The cord and yarn twist are preferably res respectively between 1 to 4 and 2 to 8 turns per inch, the cord twist being 50 to 65% of the yarn twist. The cords each have a tensile strength of at least 350 pounds and the total denier of each cord is between 18,000 and 120,000. The filaments may be of nylon.
