<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a rare earth magnet capable of effectively avoiding the risk of ignition of a compact without the fear of deterioration of the characteristics and without requiring an excessive capital investment. <P>SOLUTION: After a compact of a rare earth alloy power is taken out from a compacting machine, an inert gas (e.g. nitrogen gas) is blown on the compact. In this case, the inert gas is blown on the compact upon e.g. compacting. Or, the inert gas is blown on the compact installed on a transferring tray. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
