METHOD FOR FORMING SEALING LINER IN METAL CONTAINER COVER SHELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a liner which makes it possible for the liner to have a sufficiently even thickness in a peripheral direction and to achieve a desired sealability by heating a liner material (16) which hardens and foams by heating and for preventing increase of its production cost by minimizing the supply amount of the liner material.

SOLUTION: An embossing member (22) heated to a desired temperature is applied on a liner material (16) under a necessary pressure and the liner material (16) is heated while it is embossed and formed in a desired shape.
