<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a solar cell with chalcopyrite absorbing layers (4, 5). <P>SOLUTION: Desired alkali metal content is obtained in a perfected absorptive layer by doping an element selected from Na, K, and Li or the compound of the element during the manufacture process.
