<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a microlens formation film with optical elements precisely arranged and excellently holds transmissivity. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the microlens formation film having a plurality of microlenses 31, 31, ... arrayed on one surface of a base film 32 and light shield layers 33, 33, ... with transmission apertures at positions corresponding to positions where the microlenses are arranged on the other surface of the base film includes: a laser irradiation step of irradiating the side of the microlenses with laser light before the transmission apertures are bored in the light shield layers to irradiate the light shield layers with laser light transmitted through the microlenses and base film; and a transmission aperture formation step of forming the transmission apertures by removing light shield layers at parts irradiated with the laser light simultaneously with or after the laser irradiation step. The irradiating light used for the lasers irradiation step has a wavelength of 400 to 1,100 nm and a pulse width of≤50×10<SP>-9</SP>seconds. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
