PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the leakage of lubricant from a breather pipe 11 of a transmission. SOLUTION: The transmission 1 comprises a housing 6, and the breather pipe 11 passing through a wall 6e of the housing 6. The breather pipe 11 has a first portion 11c arranged in the housing 6. The portion 11c is closed and has a plurality of vent holes 14, 15, 16 passing through a peripheral wall 12. The plurality of vent holes 14 are arranged to be shifted to each other in a peripheral direction T of the breather pipe 11. The plurality of vent holes 15, 16 are arranged likewise. Even if the lubricant blocks one of the vent holes 14, 15, 16, e.g., air permeability between the inside and the outside of the housing 6 is secured through the remaining vent holes 14, 15, 16.
