PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high strength steel sheet having excellent phosphate treatability even in the case that the content of Si is high; and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the high strength steel sheet having excellent phosphate treatability is characterized by washing the surface of a steel sheet subjected to annealing with hydrofluoric acid or an acid obtained by mixing hydrofluoric acid and another acid.
