PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating article with visibility of contamination reduced in which fat and oil adhered to the surface is made less visible and can be decomposed and removed. SOLUTION: The coating article has, on the surface of the substrate, a coating containing fine particles of a photo-catalyst which consist of a photocatalyst supported in a hollow fine particle, and the refractive index of the coating is set to be practically equal to that of fat and oil adhered to the surface of the coating as contamination.
