PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required for detecting the air pressure and the temperature of all of tires while preferentially detecting air pressure. SOLUTION: An apparatus for detecting the information about tires comprises measured value transmitters 4FL to 4RR to be mounted on a plurality of tires 3FL to 3RR provided on a vehicle 2, and a control device 5 which is provided on the body of the vehicle 2 and detects the air pressure and the temperature of the tires 3FL to 3RR according to the measured values transmitted from the measured value transmitters 4FL to 4RR. The control device 5 carries out the process following the cycle for detecting the temperature of any one of the tires 3 after detecting the air pressure of the respective tires 3FL to 3RR, and repeats the cycle in which the tire to be used as an object of temperature detection is the same for required cycles or for a required time. After that, the control device 5 carries out the next cycle in which the tire to be used as the object of temperature detection has been updated, and repeats the process following the cycle described above while updating the tire 3 to be used as the object of the temperature detection.
