PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To charge a plurality of portable devices and register inherent data to each portable device. SOLUTION: A communication control circuit (44) monitors whether or not portable devices (50-1 to 3) on each charging benches (40-1 to 3). The communication control circuit (44) investigates identification information (user et al) of placed portable devices and requests a data distribution server (26) to distribute information to be registered. The data distribution server (26) transmits requested data to a charging apparatus (30). In the charging apparatus (30), a power line communication modem (38) transmits the data from the data distribution server (26) to the communication control circuit (44).
