PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical wiring module permitting to mount optical devices such as a light receiving element, a light emitting element, and optical waveguide on a board with high accuracy at low costs, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the optical wiring module in which at least either the light emitting element or the light receiving element or both of them and the optical waveguide are provided on an electric wiring board and these optical devices are mounted so as to be optically coupled, is characterized by arranging rails for positioning the optical devices at predetermined mounting positions on the electric wiring board of the optical wiring module; then, engaging the optical devices with the rails with a rail trench with which the rails are engaged so as to be slidable on the mounting surface of the board, or fixing the optical devices to a fixing part of an optical device fixing holder with the rail trench with which the rails are engaged so as to be slidable; then, positioning the optical devices at the predetermined mounting positions by shifting the devices up to the predetermined mounting positions along the rails; and then, fixing the optical devices at the predetermined mounting positions.
