PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide mechanism capable of enhancing workability in assembling. SOLUTION: The slide mechanism includes an extending piece 21 extending sideward from a seat leg 11; a lower surface opposed part 33 of a fixing member 31 disposed in opposition to the lower surface 32 of the extending piece 21; a roller 81 disposed rollably between the lower surface opposed part 33 and the extending piece 21; an upper surface opposed part 51 disposed in opposition to the upper surface 25 of the extending piece 21 and nipping the extending piece 21 with the lower surface opposed part 33; a ball 76 disposed between an upper V-groove 52 provided in the upper surface opposed part 51 and a lower V-groove 26 provided in the extending piece 21 to be capable of rolling; a ball retaining surface 72 disposed between the extending piece 21 and the upper surface opposed part 51 and retaining the ball 76; and a roller retaining surface 75 disposed between the extending piece 21 and the lower surface opposed part 33 and retaining the roller 81.
