PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side material manufacturing facilities, superior in productivity and corrosion resistance, easy in controlling a surface state and flatness of a side material, and manufacturing the side material used for a clad material without causing close contact failure, when superposed on a core material. SOLUTION: This side material manufacturing facility manufactures the side material 13 used for the clad material composed of the core material 14 and the side material 13 of one layer or more superposed on its one surface or both surfaces, and has a casting device 1a casting the side material 13 by melting metal for the side material different in a component composition from the core material 14, an ingot cutting device 7 cutting an ingot 11 for the side material cast by the casting device 1a, and a carrying device 5 carrying the ingot 11 for the side material between the respective devices, and is characterized in that the ingot cutting device 7 is a slice device 4 for slicing the ingot 11 for the side material in the predetermined thickness.
