The connection support server (001) transfers the relay request for the detection of the device to an arbitrary device belonging to a network different from the network to which the communication apparatus (101) belongs. The arbitrary device as a proxy detects the device and transfers information on the detected device to the connection support server (001). The communication apparatus (101) acquires the information from the connection support server (001) to detect the device on the different network.
