<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which does not require space and whose cost is reduced by eliminating indispensable attachments of consumables. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with: an active part which has an electric impedance component and acts electrically; a consumable judging part which applies a second voltage signal to the consumable having an electric element varied by application of voltage so as to judge the state of the consumable; and a power supply part which applies first voltage to the consumable through the electric impedance component of the active part after judgement by the consumable judging part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
