摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-grade thermal transfer recording material which can obtain a high printing density, which does not cause unevenness in printing, which brings about little difference in gloss between a print area and a non-print area, and which does not cause a blister in a high-density print area. <P>SOLUTION: This thermal transfer recording material is characterized in that: a porous intermediate layer, which contains a resin binder and inorganic particulates with a mean secondary particle diameter of 500 nm or less, is provided on a substrate; an ink absorbing layer, which is composed mainly of a polyester resin, is provided on the intermediate layer; the inorganic particulate is one kind selected from among vapor-phase silica, hydrated alumina and wet silica, or a mixture thereof; the resin binder is modified polyvinyl alcohol with a keto group; and a cross-linking agent layer for cross-linking the modified polyvinyl alcohol with the keto group is provided adjacently to the intermediate layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
