MANUFACTURING METHOD OF INKJET RECORDING PAPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture inkjet recording paper having both of a high gloss and high ink absorbency with high productivity.

SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method of inkjet recording paper, an undercoat layer and a topcoat layer are provided in this sequence on either side of base paper constituted mainly of wood pulp. After a coating solution for the undercoat layer containing a pigment is applied by a blade coater, a coating solution for the topcoat layer containing a pigment is applied by a curtain coater while the undercoat layer is undried. The pigment contained in the coating solution for the topcoat layer is preferably vapor-phase-method alumina.
