<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication printing system with a new framework that allows a user to quickly and easily make settings related to whether or not use of his or her own authentication printing is permitted without the intervention of a manager or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This control unit for controlling use of authentication information includes: a user control requirement storage means for storing the requirements for stopping or starting use of authentication information based on the job information of a print job; a use control requirement determining means for referring to the storage means and determining whether or not the job information of the print job sent by the user meets the requirements for stopping or starting use of the authentication information; and a means which, if the requirements for stopping or starting use of the authentication information are determined to be met, informs a print unit or a unit providing the print job to the print unit that use of the authentication information will be stopped or started for the corresponding user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
