PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a display panel frame area small by improvement in arrangement configuration of routing wiring in the frame area. SOLUTION: A halfway section of a video signal wiring group 2a led out of a source driver 2 between its routing position and an external connection terminal 30 corresponding to the driver 2 is separated, and the separated video signal wiring group 2a is arranged as a bypass wiring group 14 on a surface of a counter electrode substrate 20 opposed to a liquid crystal layer. Bypass electrodes 15 and 16 at both ends of the bypass wiring group 14 and bypass electrodes 2c and 2d at two ends of remaining video signal wiring groups 2b and 2c left by parting the video signal wiring group 2a on an array substrate 10 are connected in series through a conductive member buried in a seal material. Further, the source driver 2 on the array substrate 10 and the corresponding bypass wiring group 14 on the counter substrate 20 are put one over the other along the width in plan view of the panel.
