PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material compressing work device eliminating a failure in the compression-bonding of powder to a plate even if the starting, stopping or rotating power torque of a roll is changed or the rotating speed of the roll is changed. SOLUTION: The material compressing work device is provided for compression-bonding powder to the fed plate between rolls 1a, 1b arranged opposing each other. It comprises speed reducers 18a, 18b provided in a line ranging from rotating power transmission shafts 15a, 15b which transmit power from a motor 6 via a pinion stand 10 to the rolls 1a, 1b, respectively, to the rolls 1a, 1b.
