PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent drop of load and overturn of a vehicle at a time of quick acceleration or quick deceleration of an industrial vehicle performing cargo work. SOLUTION: In this engine control device, throttle opening is controlled not to change according to operation quantity but to change smaller than the same when accelerator opening change quantity, namely operation quantity of an acceleration pedal by a driver is larger than a predetermined value. Consequently, inertia force acting on the industrial vehicle at a time of quick acceleration and deceleration can be kept small and drop of load and turnover of the vehicle can be prevented.
