PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground base isolation structure capable of reducing the response of a structure by so forming a part of a ground for a structure under its foundation that the input of a seismic wave, which is the natural frequency of the structure, to the bottom of the foundation of the structure supported by the ground is reduced by reducing the speed of the shearing wave of the ground in an earthquake to displace the phase and utilizing the phase difference of the ground or that the vibration of the ground is not propagated to the structure. SOLUTION: The ground just below the structure is divided into a plurality of sections in plan view. The ground of each section is structured as a columnar ground in which two types of vertical speeds of the shearing wave in the earthquake are produced. By utilizing the phase difference of each columnar ground, the input of the earthquake into the structure supported by these grounds is reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
