PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitance type sensor capable of restraining detection sensitivity along other axial direction, while having high strength, without causing working non-uniformity in a fixed electrode and a movable electrode. SOLUTION: Either of a detecting fixed electrode 6a1 or a detecting movable electrode 5a2 arranged opposite is formed into a hook shape, the detecting fixed electrode 6a1 formed into the hook shape has a close near-opposite face 6s1 for specifying the opposite area, between the detecting fixed electrode 6a1 or the detecting movable electrode 5a2 so as not to be area-changed due to the operation of the movable electrode 5, and the detecting movable electrode 5a2 formed into the hook shape has a close near-opposite face 5s2 for specifying the opposite area, between the detecting fixed electrode 6a1 or the detecting movable electrode 5a2 so as not to be area-changed by the operation of the movable electrode 5.
