PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain improvement in convenience during a speech or data communication between a calling side and a called side by achieving a response corresponding to a called-side status, when using a called-side communication terminal on a vehicle. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an information processing apparatus connected through a network to a calling-side communication terminal and a called-side communication terminal for controlling a connection between these communication terminals, comprises: a call origination request accepting means for accepting a call origination request from the calling-side communication terminal to the called-side communication terminal; a vehicle state information acquiring means for acquiring vehicle state information, representing the state of a vehicle, provided from the relevant vehicle; and a connection control means for discriminating the status where the called-side communication terminal is mounted on the vehicle, on the basis of the vehicle state information and performing connection control on the detected call origination in accordance with the result of the discrimination.
