PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a pneumatic tire capable of improving productivity. SOLUTION: Steel cords (s) are continuously habituated into a spiral or planar-wavy shape while stepwise or continuously changing at least one of habituation amplitude (w) and a habituation pitch (p) immediately before the steel cords (s) are wound around a belt molding drum 4. The habituated steel cords s' are continuously spirally wound around the belt molding drum 4 in a drum peripheral direction so that the peripheral direction rigidity of a belt reinforcing layer 20 is changed in a tire width direction.
