According to the invention, a transmitter is provided in or on an electrical appliance and can emit signals, by means of capacitive injection in the electrical near field, via plug pins (20) of a plug (18) to a plug socket (22) or lines (26, 44) connected downstream from the plug socket (22). In particular, the signals are emitted when the plug socket is switched off. The transmitter is independent of the current through the plug socket, and is battery-powered. The use of capacitive signal injection avoids interference effects such as those when using radio controllers for plug sockets. In addition, the fitting of the transmitter in or to the electrical appliance means that there is no need to use an additional remote controller. |
