The invention relates to novel active ingredient combinations consisting of at least one known compound of formula (I), in which R is defined as cited in the description, and at least one additional known active ingredient from the classes of benzenedicarboxylic acid amides, macrolides, diacylhydrazines, carboxylates, or another class. Said combinations are extremely suitable for controlling animal pests such as insects and undesired acarides.
