The engine has pistons (7) arranged in work spaces (5) of an outer rotor (2) and directly connected with an inner rotor by a hinge (6). A limitation of pivotable movements of the pistons is produced for transmitting rotary movements between the inner rotor and the outer rotor by deforming the pistons in adjusting positions in the work spaces. The inner rotor is directly connected with the outer rotor by the hinge in a torque proof manner by blocking the pivotable movements of the pistons, which seal the workspaces of the outer rotor.
