<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize burned marks remaining on the path for irradiation of the laser beam even when dust, metal powder, etc. adhered to superimposed portions of resin members on irradiation of a laser beam are ignited, in a laser welding method comprising irradiating with a laser beam while shifting the irradiation spot. <P>SOLUTION: The laser welding method comprises superimposing together a transmissive resin member 11 and an absorption resin member 12 having a lower transmissivity than that of the transmissive member 11 to form a superimposed portion 13, irradiating the superimposed portion 13 with a laser beam from the side of the transmissive resin member 11 while shifting the irradiation spot and, at the same time, blowing a noncombustible gas toward the irradiation spot from the side of the transmissive resin member 11, according to the shift of the irradiation spot of the laser beam. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
