<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a keyboard musical instrument that can automatically switch selection operators that a player can view according to a selected timbre by using a keyboard lid. <P>SOLUTION: When the player changes a selection position of a first selection part SS1 after initialization processing, the processing advances to automatic slide processing. For example, when the first selection part SS1 is changed from a piano position (the position closest to the player) to an organ position (next to the piano position), a target position P2 to which a slide lid LD is slid is set and a motor interface MI/F is controlled until the slide lid LD reaches the target position P2. Consequently, the slide lid LD is slid up to a target stable position LD3 (i.e. target position P2).
