PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for drawing graphics, capable of high-speed processing and stable operations against the resource fluctuations of the device. SOLUTION: A vector data group indicating a graphic shape is inputted to a vector data group management part, drawing attribute data indicating graphic internal attribute information are inputted to a drawing attribute data management part, and resource information indicating utilization conditions is inputted to a resource information management part. The vector data group is read from the managed vector data group management part, and a graphic feature amount indicating the shape feature of an input graphic is calculated by a graphic feature amount calculation part. The calculated graphic feature amount and the resource information managed in the resource information management part are read and changeover to optimum drawing data generation is performed. The vector data group managed in the vector data group management part and the drawing attribute data managed in the drawing attribute data management part stage are read and drawing data are generated.
