PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for mounting a core, through which the core can be easily built in a lead frame. SOLUTION: When the core 2 is built in the lead frame 3, the belt-shaped parts of the lead frame 3 are pressed against a mounting stand 40 by a pressing member 41 while the lead frame 3 is placed on the mounting stand 40. In succession, a terminal lifting member 43 is made to ascend to push up the terminals 9 of the lead frame 3 by a pushing pin 42. In this state, a transfer nozzle 23 holding the core 2 is made to descend. When the height of the groove 6 of the core 2 is matched with that of the tips of the terminals 9, the terminal lifting member 43 is made to descend simultaneously with falling of the nozzle 23 so as to put the tips of the terminals 9 into the groove 6 of the core 2. This operation is made to continue furthermore, whereby the core 2 is built in the lead frame 3 as the core 2 is sandwiched between the pair of terminals 9. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
