PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay that can increase the insulation distance between a main contact part and a coil. SOLUTION: The relay comprises: an electromagnet part 1 composed of an iron core 10 with the coil 13 wound therearound and a yoke 11 for establishing magnetic coupling with the iron core 10; a movable frame 2 driven by excitation and non-excitation of the coil 13; the main contact part 3 that is provided on one side of the electromagnet part 1 and that opens and closes a load in response to a movement of the movable frame 2; and an auxiliary contact part 4 that is provided on the other side of the electromagnet part 1 and is opened and closed simultaneously in synchronization of the opening and closing of the main contact part 3. The main contact part 3 comprises: a main contact plate 31 provided with a fixed contact 31a; and a main contact spring 30 one end of which is provided with a movable contact 30a that is opposed to the fixed contact 31a and that comes in contact with and separates from the fixed contact 31a. The movable frame 2 has a barrier rib 23 that separates the main contact spring 30 and the coil 13 from each other. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
